January | Last Light on the fells

My photographic year 2023 begin with a visit to Almdalen, Hotagen Nature Reserve in Jämtland.
I had the most amazing winter conditions and it was really beautiful. This was my first visit to Almdalen and it was truly a good memory. I was out exploring the surrounding of Almdalen and on my way back to the tent I capture this photograph.
After I had capture the photograph a guy on a snowmobile ask me if I get any good photos, and yes, it was a very productive and joyful day.

The frozen lake have melt due the warm weather in February and then when the temperature get colder it slowly refreeze, the nature have created the most beautiful ice art. The beautiful light makes it even more beautiful.

March delivered some really beautiful northern lights above the church in Ås, Krokoms Kommun in Jämtland, Sweden.
The northern lights mirroring very beautiful in the lake Rödösundet.
April | Romantic Swan Couple

Photography outing to Lörudden, Medelpad, Sweden. While I drinking coffee on the shoreline these two swan couple swim past me and I think they were really romantic together. I had a really nice outing with great conditions.
May | Spring winter camping

Went out for a last winter camping outing to Ullådalen, Åre, Sweden. I got some really amazing conditions and lovely weather and views. Last glowing light on Åreskutan. After I had capture this photograph I went back to my tent for a great night sleep.

July | Photography break
Spend a lot time in the wood picking cloudberry’s and fly fishing along the river Långan. Nice to had a break and enjoy some of my other interests.

I stand on the rock with my camera on a tripod with rising steam fog from the dark river. It was pretty cold.
I felt like me or the camera will fall over into the cold water any second. The northern lights start to dance on the dark sky, really beautiful. In the distans you can see the steam fog from the river rising up into the dark river.

This photograph represent true happiness and joy of winter backcountry skiing in the local woodland. I went out backcountry skiing on the bogs in Svartsjöarna. It was magical atmospheric conditions and amazing winter light.
December | Frozen rocks of Spikarna
Spikarna, Alnön, Medelpad, Sweden.
On the morning on Christmas eve I head out on a little photography outing to Spikarna in Medelpad, Sweden. Before the pale midwinter sun rise above the Baltic Sea.
