I got a notice about Northern Lights on my phone so I pack my gear and head out to Långan river in Jämtland.
Långan is a lovely river with sources up in the fells in Offerdal.
The river have a great wilderness feeling with many waterfalls and nice streams. Långan ends up in Indalsälven a few kilometers west of the little town Lit in Jämtland.
After some driving along smal roads I arrive to the parking lot, I grab my gear and start the hike down to the river, always a nice feeling to hike along the trail down to the river Långan, in the distant I heard the river.
Milky Way Woodland
The Milky Way bend over the trail, in the beginning I doubt if there will be any northern lights at all. A little glimt of some green was visible in the camera.

But the beautiful starry sky was surely a great consolation if the Northern Lights would not appear.
Arrive to the river
When I arrive to the river I remember all lovely fly fishing memories from this river. I catch some really nice Graylings and Trouts the past summer.
Moments in the dark
It was really dark and the waterfall steam out foam, it was really moistly and cold. But very beautiful and magical.
Northern Lights kick of
I don’t have to wait long before the Northern Lights start to dance above the river, it was really amazing.

Photo of the month
I have hesitate which one of the photos that I like the most but I think I like this Northern Lights photograph the most. I like the flow and the shapes of the lights.

The Northern Lights quickly fade away
The Northern Lights fade away as quick as it shows up. But I manage to capture this photo after a long time of waiting before I head back home. The waterfall on the photograph is Klöstafallet.
