Arådalen is a valley immediately west of the mountain Hundshögen in southern Oviksfjällen, Bergs municipality, Jämtland county. The valley forms the Arådalen nature reserve and is named after the stream Arån that flows south through the valley.
Finally arrive to Arådalen
After some hassling with the oil in the car I finally arrive to Arådalen, it was late and it won’t be long before the sun set behind the fells. But I’m use to hike in the dark to my camping spot.
Winter hike to Busjöfjället
My hike start from the parking lot in Arådalen down to the river Arån and up on Busjöfjället where I have plan to pitch my tent. It was around 15 cm deep snow and wet bogs underneath. It was quite hard to hike.
Busjöfjället is surrounded with bogs and a really old beautiful woodland.
Wind picks up on Busjöfjället
It was quite windy up on the fells so I pitch my tent at the treeline on Busjöfjället.
Light snowing while I pitch my tent
It was very cosy to get down in my sleeping bag and read a good book while the snow fall outside the tent.
Misty morning on the fells
I woke up to a beautiful misty morning, start to boil some coffee and prepare some breakfast before I continue my hike on Busjöfjället. I have plan to follow the tree line south and then hike down into the old woodland on my way back.
Lonely Birch
Found many nice birch trees on my hike on Busjöfjället, like this one.

Old woodland on Busjöfjället
My hike continue down in the old woodland on my way back. I really enjoy standing on the slope on Busjöfjället and look out over the old woodland and Bogs.

Crossing a smal river
Almost back to Arån I found a little beautiful creak, perfect for some intimate shoots.

Beautiful Ice formation
Stunning Ice formation in the creek Arån in Arådalen, Jämtland.

Coffee break next to the river
After a coffee break I continue my hike back to Arådalen, I have really enjoy my hike even if it was quite tough.
Next time I think I will go skiing instead of hiking.
