Photographs from my hiking and photography outing in Berge Urskog.
Berge Urskog is located 30 kilometer south of Östersund. A little gem of old woodland that have been saved among all production forest and clearcuts in Sweden.
It was quite windy day but when I step out of the car and grab my camera bag and tripod it was quite calm.
I walk along the trail into the nature reserve, through a forest that has been allowed to take care of itself for a long time.
At the slope down towards Gråsjön there is a pine that had survived at least two forest fires and the pine is around 580 years old.
Mossy heaven in Berge Urskog

Really beautiful mossy rocks and gray old dead wood on the slops down to the lake Gråssjön.

I missing the mirror water this windy day, always so very beautiful when the woodland mirroring on the lake Gråssjön. I also try to capture some water flowers but it was too windy.

This photograph really takes you into the John Bauer woodland. I only missing Tuvstarr sitting on the rock.

Coffee in the old woodland
I really enjoy my time while I drink my warm coffee and I listen to the poring water in the little creek just below Gråssjön.
Read a few captures in my book while I enjoy the pale autumn sun.
