A year of loss, love, and light through the lens!
Reflections on 2025
My photographic year 2025 captures the quiet beauty of nature, moments of loss, and solitude. It has been a heavy year, marked by personal loss and reflection. Yet through photography, I sought stillness and meaning, capturing nature’s strength and beauty amid the harsh and difficult.
From misty fells to stormy winter landscapes, and from lone mountain birches to the magic of the northern lights, each image tells a story. These photographs serve as memories, reflections, and attempts to find light in the darkness. Throughout 2025, my photography explored these landscapes, revealing moments of resilience and fleeting beauty.
Stillness in the fells

A beautiful hiking trip in the fells: long bright days and stunning views. I spent the midnight hour watching the sun set behind the mountains, returning to the tent deep in the night, surrounded by stillness.
Sorrow and Light

Amidst the shadows, this white flower reminds me of those I’ve lost, a fragile light in the emptiness.
Storm and Light

A winter adventure at Dörrsjöarna: the storm swept across the ice, yet the fells rose like silent witnesses under a magical light.
Solitude

During a spring evening camping trip, I walked along the mire. A lone, leafless birch stood silently, a quiet witness to the slow arrival of spring.
Reflections

A fallen, gray tree rests beside a small pond, its bare branches mirrored in the quiet water, a gentle reminder of impermanence.
November Light

In the chilly spruce forest, the weak November sun finds a fallen tree, its light creating a fleeting moment of warmth and beauty.
Misty Expanses

Fog drifts over the black-and-white fells, guiding the eye along snowy patterns. The promise of spring lingers at the horizon.

As the mist drifts across the lake and the last light of day slowly fades into the depths.
Day turns to night, and darkness settles over the landscape.
The water lies still, as if holding on to the final rays,
while the forest stands silent, waiting for the calm of night.
December Stillness

A lone mountain birch stands in a frost-covered landscape on a winter day in December, the whiteout reducing everything else to silence.
The Survivor

In the cold of winter, a lone mountain birch perches on a hill above Dörrsjöarna, weathered by past storms and bracing for the next.
Eye of the Storm

Through the barren, icy landscape, a solitary mountain rises into the swirling storm clouds—the calm and majesty at the eye of the storm.
Aurora Dreams

A fleeting spectacle of light and movement illuminates the night, the northern lights painting the sky with ethereal beauty.
Thank You, 2025
Thank you, 2025, for the lessons, the challenges, and the moments of beauty. Moreover, I am grateful to everyone who has followed my journey this year, sharing in both the stillness and the storms. As I look ahead to 2026, I do so with hope, curiosity, and the promise of new experiences.
