I headed out early in the morning to one of my favorite nature reserves on Alnön – Stornäset.
Stornäset Nature Reserve is a well-visited area on the northeastern side of Alnön, known for its excellent birdwatching opportunities. During both spring and autumn, many birds stop here to rest.
The variety of landscapes in the reserve also makes it a popular destination for outdoor activities. I especially enjoy hiking here.

In the afternoon, I made my way to Åstön and started a hike from Skeppshamn.
It was quite cold, and mist lingered between the trees and cliffs, adding to the atmosphere.

My plan was to hike to Åstholmen and find a good campsite near the cliffs.
I found a lovely spot right beside the beautiful rocky coastline—perfect for setting up camp.

I spent the evening exploring the area and really enjoyed my stay.

When I woke up and unzipped my tent, a thick mist still hovered over the sea and cliffs.
I boiled some black coffee and made myself a simple breakfast—it was a great start to the day.

After breakfast, I headed out to explore the cliffs I’d discovered the evening before.
The waves were perfect, and the mist created a magical atmosphere—ideal for moody black and white shots.

The next evening, I left a little later and headed to a campsite at Bodviksskatan.
The light was stunning when I arrived.
I quickly pitched my tent and managed to capture the last golden light of a beautiful evening.

A Beautiful Morning on Åstön

When I unzipped my Hilleberg tent, I was greeted by the most breathtaking sunrise over the ocean. Truly amazing.
I drifted back to sleep for a couple more hours before getting up to boil some coffee and have breakfast.

Wrapping Up the Weekend

All in all, it was a wonderful weekend—beautiful weather, peaceful conditions, and great camping on Åstön.
