I head out solo winter camping in Vålådalen Nature Reserve in beautiful spring winter conditions. The sun really start to warm my cheek, so lovely.
It was quite windy start of the weekend and I work late so I decide to start my winter camping outing to Vålådalen Nature Reserve on early Saturday morning.
When I start from Vålådalen on Saturday morning the sun shine from almost a clear blue sky but I can see that it looks very windy up on the fells.
The Journey
The first kilometer towards Stensdalsstugorna I had to ski with a thick layer of wet snow under my skis, it was tough, I stop a several times to scrape off the snow. Luckily it gets a little bit colder snow after just a few kilometers. Thankful for that.
Glimt of Lill-Stendalsfjället
I got a glimt of Lill-Stendalsfjället in the stormy conditions before I went off from the trail and continued on the bogs towards Kyrkstenen in Vålådalen Nature Reserve.

Lunchtime in the old woodland in Vålådalen Nature Reserve
I found some shelter among the fir trees so I prepare some lunch and black coffee before I continue my skiing trip towards Kyrkstenen.
Skiing among beautiful gray dead pine trees
I Continue skiing among some really beautiful grey pine trees. Felt like I skied among the Ents in Lord of the Ring. Amazing!
Campsite in Vålådalens Nature Reserve
I found a nice campsite on the bogs close to Kyrksten in Vålådalens Nature Reserve, just below Kyrkstensfjället. After dinner I enjoy reading and watch the last light on the fells Ottfjället.

Good night sleep
I slept very well in my Hilleberg Nammatj 3gt, hardly no wind. But it looks like my Exped Synmat 7 start to leak a little, I will try to repair it a second time.
Beautiful new day
I woke up to an amazing morning, I prepare breakfast and some black coffee before I pack down my tent and continue my journey up in the fells.
Journey Continue
When I get closer to the fells it was quite windy, for a little while I enjoy the mix of windy fells and sunshine. The snow drift down the fells like a river and snow Crystals get light up by the sun.

After a few captured photographs I ski down to a little wind sheltered place among some fir trees where I had my lunch in the sunshine, I also read a few chapters in my book before it was time to head back to Vålådalen.
